Finance and Accounting Specialist | Remote | AU Accounting

Location: Any Site (Manila, Clark, Tarlac, Cebu)
Shift: Monday to Friday; 7am – 4pm

About the role ….

The Finance and Accounting Specialist position has primary responsibility for financial operations and works under the guidance of a fractional FC. The role includes system administration for finance platforms and involves cross-training with the payroll specialist to provide backup coverage.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting operations
• Process financial transactions through Xero
• Handle accounts payable and receivable
• Support month-end and year-end closing procedures
• Maintain accurate financial records
• Assist with financial reporting and analysis
• Share administrative duties with payroll specialist
• Provide backup support for payroll functions and administration tasks when needed
• Commission workouts for Gov monthly and Perm bimonthly.
• WIF monthly Reconciliation lodgement and uploading the invoices on weekly basis.
• Cashflow weekly reporting.
• AIS Staff monthly payroll, expense reimbursement.
• Renewing all states labour licenses-QLD, ACT & VIC
• Renewing - Work covers premium and wage lodgement for VIC, QLD and NSW.
• Renewing PI/PL, MNGT and Cyber security Insurance yearly.
• QLD and VIC reporting for Labour licenses.
• SCM0007 Government report – monthly.
• Liaise with external accountant on quarterly GST, company tax, FBT and any other tax requirements
• Credit card reconciliation

Qualifications / Skills:

• 5+ years of accounting/bookkeeping experience
• Proficiency in Xero accounting software
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Self-managing with ability to work independently
• Experience with integrated accounting systems
• Available during Australian business hours
• Understanding of recruitment industry finances preferred
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
